Kalianna Brahs

Hello! My name is Kalianna Brahs. I live in Menomonie, WI and I am enrolled at the University Wisconsin Stout. My major is rehabilitation services with a concentration in substance abuse. I have loved the past four years of experience with this major and in the Stout community. I chose this major in order to help and encourage others with not only substance abuse issues but mental health as well. I have a passion for working with children and adults of all ages along with many different backgrounds.

My goal is to give others an opportunity to experience things they might have wanted to work towards in the past but just do not know how to approach it. I want to help others achieve the goals they have been striving to reach. Overall, I feel as if I can relate to the many hardships that others are going through. Growing up I have had family members go through mental health issues, along with substance abuse, and I have alway been there to help them along the way.

I am currently working as a Community Living Assistant at a group home in Menomonie. I work with others of all ages with many different types of disabilities, it is a truly rewarding job. Along with work, I enjoy doing many things such as traveling, snowboarding, and hiking. Honestly, any activity outdoors is where I love to be!
