Amber Prisch - Paraprofessional

Hi, my name is Amber and I have a passion for helping others! I have worked in group homes, assisted living facilities, daycares, and as a nanny but I have been with Rolling Hills Equine for many years now. Growing up I was the oldest of 5 kids and suffered from depression, anxiety, parents separation and divorces, and living with adults suffering from substance abuse problems. I learned to overcome and cope with these obstacles and help my siblings cope with these obstacles as well. I have learned to cope and teach others to cope through art, mindfulness techniques, and exploring the outdoors.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and our two dogs. I like to spend a lot of my time outdoors, camping, traveling, and exploring new places.

Brandon Kariger - Bachelor

Hello everyone! My name is Brandon and I currently live in Elk Mound, WI. I'm originally from Wausau and graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2018 with my Bachelor’s in Psychology. I've moved around a little over the last few years and have seen some really neat places with my fiancée. Along the way, we've adopted some wonderful furbabies, Dahlia (tortoiseshell cat) and Koda who you see in the picture.

My parents divorced when I was thirteen and my brother was nine. Since then, they both remarried and started new families, so now I have two half siblings on each side. I believe growing up in a diverse family gave me a better understanding of different perspectives at an early age. Even if those family changes were outside of my control, I learned to accept them and embrace the value of having such a family.

There has always been a desire for me to help others when faced with their own challenges and I believe having someone on your side can have a positive impact when facing them. It truly brings me joy to be someone who can be there to help others. This led to my direct experience with being a nursing assistant, a lifeguard, 911 dispatcher, an intern for early childhood development focused on social and emotional support, and as a financial lending assistant at a credit union. A little bit of everything but always there to help!

My days are spent being with my family, friends and especially my dog, who keeps me busy with so many adventures! The idea that we are their whole world is very humbling and empowering. He pushes me to be the best version of myself and I want to provide that kind of an impact to anyone that I cross paths with. I enjoy being outside and going for hikes, exploring new places, fishing, playing Kubb, and disc golfing! This winter, I plan to get more involved with snowshoeing and skiing. I'm here for you, so let's make it the best we can!

I have had some rough challenges in my High School years with an Eating Disorder and Compulsive Exerciser. There are so many people out there that just do not understand our situations and don't know how to talk or deal with us. So, I am here to hopefully give you some strength, encouragement, understanding and to let you know that you are not alone and you can get through this and if I can give you that one tool to help you get through this battle, it will be worth it and hopefully make you feel stronger and to know that someone understands and is on your side.

Hello! My name is Devyn, I currently live in Hudson WI, and I recently graduated from The University of Wisconsin Stout with a bachelors of Rehabilitation Services with a concentration in psychiatric rehab. I decided to go into this field because I have always had a strong passion of working with children along with helping people of all ages and backgrounds. In the past I have worked in many different care taking positions.

Throughout college I worked in a daycare, along with in a group home which housed individuals with intellectual disabilities. I absolutely loved both of these fast paced work environments. In these workplaces I learned the importance of going into each day with a positive mindset, eagerness to learn, along with being patient. These are some of my qualities that I am excited to bring into this position. I have a passion for helping others achieve their goals, and working towards those goals together. One of my new hobbies is training my puppy (Beau), and working on getting him certified to be a therapy dog. I love being able to bring Beau with me to sessions, as he can really improve anyone's day, and loves all people.

I grew up in Hudson WI and I have always had a strong interest in hockey, hiking, animals (especially dogs), frisbee golf, camping, traveling as well as spending time with my family and friends. Overall, I love to always be busy, stay active, help others in personal growth, and to achieve their goals.

Gibb Weyer - Paraprofessional

Hello! My name is Gibb. I live in Downing, WI

I am the oldest of 5 kids. We grew up on a dairy farm and that is where I learned that hard work pays off. My life was very different for me, my dad wasn’t around much so I had to take care of my siblings and work to pay for household things. Even though this was a difficult time in my life I learned so much and that experience has made me the man I am today. Besides from being a farmer, I am also an electrician.

I am able to relate to many kids about growing up too fast and having one parent around. I learned many skills with my experience such as being patient, learning new skills to help my future, coping skills, the importance of friendship and most importantly learning to find my passion and what I am really good at.

I can build almost anything, I love the outdoors and exploring new areas, anything with farming I know and fishing is a fun hobby of mine. I am excited to help kids get through the bad times and to find themselves again. I had a mentor when I was a child and he changed my life. I am hoping to do the same with the kiddos I will be serving.

I am currently working as a plumber and in the summertime I like to attend and participate in tractor pulls. I also like to go four wheeling. During the winter I like to go snowmobiling and take snowmobiling trips to the mountains in WY or CO. Bowling is something I also enjoy.

Jacques Charland - Paraprofessional

Hi, my name is Jacques Charland and I live in New Richmond. I currently work as a Supply Chain Specialist/Inventory Coordinator at TRIA Urgent Care Clinic/Regions Hospital in Minnesota. I have been doing that for about 30 years now. During my time away from work I enjoy the outdoors, sports, and most of all my family. My wife Rachael, stepson Brock who is 13 years old, and Josie who is our most precious 3 year old Black Lab. We are living our best life together.

Throughout my life I have learned many lessons and I feel that during the good and bad times those lessons learned have nurtured me into who I am today. Sharing my wisdom and helping others are so important to me. Setting goals, grooming a path so that you can achieve them can set the foundation in life so that anything if you put in the work ethic can be accomplished. It is an important part of this journey we call life and learning from your mistakes, getting up when you are down, and helping others along the way is the reason we are all put on this great god given earth. For the last five years I have been an assistant youth baseball coach - ages 8 to 13. It has been very rewarding watching kids learn and develop the skills that help with the game, learning team concept, and individual social skills/being a leader. Everything they take away from it will eventually help them in the future. I am very good with providing structure and helping develop a strong mind set for moving forward to achieve individual goals.

Lindsay Littleton - Bachelor

Hi everyone! My name is Lindsay Littleton. I grew up in the small town of Crandon in northeast Wisconsin where I participated in all kinds of sports and activities. I grew up with my favorite animals–bunny rabbits and horses in a tiny town just north of Crandon–Argonne! I am currently living in River Falls, WI where I am attending graduate school at UW-Stout in Menomonie. I am pursuing my goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and am set to graduate in 2025. My areas of focus are trauma/crisis and AODA. For my undergraduate, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and a minor in biology from UW-Eau Claire.

I have experience working as a Research Assistant for two years in Dr. Jennifer Muehlenkamp’s Suicide Prevention and Research Collaborative (SPARC) Lab where I assisted in running high-risk participants through a study examining their sleep, activity, and mood in correlation with their self-harm thoughts and behaviors. With this project, I became well trained in conducting risk assessments.

Something that has helped shape who I am today is my background and history working with the two prominent Native American Tribes in my area. The past two summers, I worked as the Summer Youth Employment Coordinator and Supervisor for the Forest County Potawatomi Tribe. Even with being from the area, I learned so much more about their culture and traditions as well as have seen the mental health adversities and drug epidemics they face. These experiences help drive my career goals.

In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my two sisters (I am the middle child!), my friends, and my family. A few things I love include: volleyball, staying active, being outside, shopping, sweets, self-care activities, and traveling!

Mellie Artema - Master

My offerings are focused on using movement, art, and nature explorations to support women and teens who are healing from trauma, those who are neurodivergent, and those who want to learn more about self-awareness practices and self-care skills. Services are available in-home or at my office in Menomonie. Those who enjoy working with me often identify as sensitive, introverted, empathic, or neurodivergent.

I use art and somatic practices to build skills around connecting the body’s experiences to language and image, building resilience, and supporting the nervous system throughout an individual’s process of personal growth and recovery. Some of the modalities I offer include Somatic Experiencing® concepts, yoga, qigong, meditation, breathwork, mindful fitness, NeuroAffective Touch® dialogue, and Intentional Creativity® concepts.

Sessions might include any combination of discussion time, wellness coaching, movement practices such as yoga, painting and making art, hiking and exploring nature, working out, exploring sensory-supporting activities, and learning self-care practices. This work helps build the bridge between body and mind, offering the opportunity for unique integration work and whole-person healing. I use a gentle, polyvagal-informed approach to support those who want to build self-awareness skills while supporting resilience and personal growth.

I also provide psychoeducation-based support to parents of neurodivergent children. I offer coaching and education around recognizing nervous system states, building skills for co-regulation, understanding more about sensory processing disorders, exploring ways to support executive functioning, and updating language paradigms around neurodivergence and disabilities.

Since 2005, my work has been heavily focused on health coaching and providing education to promote building self-awareness, empowerment, and resilience. My professional experience also includes holistic practices such as clinical acupuncture, bodywork, and nutrition education. Hi, my name is Monica Nichols and I reside in Knapp, Wi. I grew up in the Eau Claire area and while I have traveled and moved a lot throughout my life, I am so happy to be settled and raising my two children and two step children in the beautiful Knapp hills. We are an active family that enjoys spending time outdoors, 4-wheeling, cooking and baking together and taking little nearby road trips. When I’m not busy managing a restaurant or catering, I can be found volunteering at ForGiven Church in the coffee shop and bakery. Outside of that, I have had the pleasure of teaching cooking classes at the Menomonie Senior Center since 2011.

My career has allowed me to teach many people of all ages and personalities to find a love for cooking and baking. Not only does it teach how to create something tangible, but also gives a sense of accomplishment and teaches many life skills. I thoroughly love helping others find a passion and hobby that could turn into a career. I have learned the saying, “find something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” to be absolutely true.

I feel I have the unique ability to be patient and understanding while teaching new skills because of my experiences. This is especially true in the kitchen but also helping others to find healthy eating options, becoming better organized and learning interviewing and job skills. We love to spend time as a family doing things like sitting around a fire and roasting all kinds of foods, hanging out at my family’s farm, going to movies, going to church, etc. I also enjoy scrapbooking very much! However, we spend a lot of time running to practices, and sporting events as well.

I grew up on a farm just outside of Elmwood, WI where I watched my Dad overcome one obstacle after another because he was born disabled. That is where my passion stems from. I have spent the majority of my adult life working with individuals with disabilities. I did this in group homes, and through in-home care. I have spent the last five years working as a Paraprofessional for the Elmwood School district. I worked with special needs students of all ages to find and implement a learning strategy that worked best for each individual student. I assisted with organization skills, stress management skills, study skills, life skills, as well as working to enhance self-esteem, and social skills.

I believe that together we can overcome any obstacle! I look forward to assisting you on you journey!

Randy Nichols - Paraprofessional

Hi Everyone! My name is Randy.

I am a hard worker and I never give up on anything; it’s not in me. I love seeing everyone smile. I enjoy being outside & I have taught myself to live off the land. My family is the same way.

We all spend time outdoors, fishing, hunting, gathering, hiking and building things we find in nature.

I also have a hobby (which has become a career) of cooking. I cater for big events, such as fundraisers and weddings. The smiles from the people I cooked for and say that they love the way I cook, is what feeds my dream.

I help out every year with a fundraiser for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because I believe that every child needs to smile. This event that we put on helps children and their families. It warms my heart to help and find out about children recovering and smiling their way through life after they have been helped.

I have three wonderful children, all boys. My twin boys go to their Mom’s house every other month and we all work really well together for our families. It is an amazing feeling and proof that I never give up on anything in life.

I have pushed hard through life and it has made me into the person that I am today. The hard times make you stronger because the “Love of Life” is amazing and we all want to enjoy it.

Tracy Chipman - Bachelor

As a lifelong lover of movement nature and artistic expression, I’m interested in assisting others to explore their own paths to health and healing. I especially enjoy working with women, youth and young adults, and supporting them; to more fully know themselves, to grow their ability to meet themselves with loving self-compassion, and support their exploration to live with more joy and meaning in their lives.

For decades I’ve been working in the fields of education, holistic and the creative arts as an educator, a somatics/Yoga instructor, and as a transformational storyteller. In the past 10 years the skills and experiences gleaned in these roles have led me to also serve as a wellness coach & mentor both in person and virtual and as peer support specialist with Milkweed Connections from 2017-2020.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Vedic Science (Yogic philosophy & practice). I also bring decades of work navigating my own lived experiences around childhood sexual abuse, familial substance abuse, PTS, chronic illness and grief through movement, nature, meditation, breathwork, and artistic expression.

In my ‘bag of support tools” I offer experiences and practices to individuals based on their unique needs, meeting them where they are at. These practices include mutuality, somatic/embodiment practices, trauma informed care, unconditional high regard, holistic and storytelling coaching, breathing exercises, Yoga, journaling, being in nature and meditation.

I use she/her/they pronouns and am a proud Wisconsinite who has lived in all four corners of this amazing state, and beyond. I love being in nature, exploring remote places and ways of living, reading and riding my bike! Presently I live in Washburn, WI on Anishinaabe lands with my partner, and a sassy black cat named Pippin.

Todd Solberg - Bachelor

* Bachelors (masters in education)

Hello! My name is Todd, I grew up in the small town of Cameron, WI. I have a lifetime love of all athletic events, including fishing and hunting. I was fortunate to play college football. I blended this passion with my career in education to support youth in advancing their athletic and academic abilities. I spent my career in education from elementary to college levels, including my roles as K-12 principal and Dean of Student Affairs at the college level.

I strive to be a role model so that my students learn respect, kindness, responsibility, reliability through my actions. They then are taught to take these qualities and apply them in their everyday interactions with peers and superiors. It is important to help others as it makes one feel good about positive decisions, which promotes confidence and self-esteem. With time, this fosters an environment of positivity and respect that becomes a way of life.

As my son grew older, I was able to take my prior experiences as a basketball and Head high school Football Coach and utilize those skills as youth coach for football and baseball over the past 9 years.  Through these roles I have been able to promote growth and responsibility to both the individual child, and to recognize the commitment to team. I emulated respect, dedication and instilled a desire to continue to improve oneself.  Our teams had fun while learning life lessons of compromise, celebrating success, and growing from disappointments.

As they move forward in life, I want them to remember:

· Do The Right Thing!

· Commit to Excellence!

· Care About the People That Care About You!

I am now living in New Richmond with my wife and son. I spend my extra time fabricating metal projects from functional to artistic.
